To begin the setup process, open your web browser and navigate to trezor.io/start. This official page provides the necessary software and instructions for setting up your Trezor device.
Trezor Bridge is a communication tool that allows your web browser to interact with the Trezor device. Follow these steps to install it:
Download Trezor Bridge:
On the Trezor Start page, click the link to download Trezor Bridge for your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
Install Trezor Bridge:
Open the downloaded file and follow the installation instructions.
Connect the Device:
Use the provided USB cable to connect your Trezor device to your computer.
Follow On-Screen Instructions:
Your browser will detect the connected Trezor device and prompt you to continue the setup process.
Create a New Wallet:
Choose the option to create a new wallet. This process will generate a new set of private keys stored securely on your Trezor device.
Write Down Your Recovery Seed:
Trezor will display a 24-word recovery seed. Write down these words in the exact order on the provided recovery seed card.
Store this card in a secure, offline location. Do not share or digitize your recovery seed, as it can be used to access your funds.
